Failed Reg; First time taking any section. What now?

    Hey,

So I just got my failing score for Reg, I’ve never taken a section before. I’m disappointed obviously, just trying to figure out where to go from here.

What are my next steps from here? I’ve read about the “ancillary material” in the forums, but I can’t seem to find the material (unless of course it’s in front of my face and I’m being silly).

I’m feeling pretty down now, I know other people have passed a couple of sections on their first try and I couldn’t even pass one 🙁

Any advice and help would be great on what to do now.

I think Becker had ancillary materials in the older version of the review books. If you are using like 2013 or 2014 Becker review books I don't think they have any ancillary materials anymore. It is blended in to the materials. Failing is normal, but now at least you have taken the exam and seen what types of questions showed on the exam. Good luck on your exam!! Keep it up

    FAR-Passed
    BEC-Passed
    REG-Passed
    AUD-Passed
    Materials: Becker+Ninja Notes/Ninja MCQ/Ninja Flashcards

You are definitely not alone. Plenty of people fail their first exam. It doesn't mean that you can't pass, it means that there are some weak areas you need to brush up on.

The good news is that your time clock hasn't started ticking. I would suggest that you re-study REG while it's still fresh in your mind and try again. Did you go over the AICPA released question from the past several years? You should have an idea of your weak areas. In particular, focus on understanding tax.

Yep follow 10key do the released question from all the past years understand your answers and finally do the sample test online at least 3 times. Practice as many sims as possible. That 40% can take you to the finish line.
