    Hello,

I failed FAR in May, but started studying for BEC the day after I took FAR to keep the momentum going. I took BEC last week and am pretty sure I failed. What should I do next? I’m deciding between taking BEC again in October or starting AUD or REG. Any advice anyone can give is appreciated!

Stick with BEC since it's fresh.

    BEC- 73, 73, 80
    REG- 74, 83
FAR- 50(didn't study), 76 (<--How the heck did that happen?)
    AUD- 71, 71, 79!!!!!
    Finished!!

If it were me, I'd probably take BEC at the beginning of the next window and then take FAR at the end of it.

I took (and failed) the same ones in the same order. I am starting fresh and taking FAR first, since I have the most time to study for it now and then BEC in November.

Just wait for BEC scores. If failed, retake while it's still fresh in your mind.. following…

    FAR

AUD – Since it has FAR and BEC elements (like ratios, internal control..etc). You can finish studying for this part in less than 4 weeks

    REG

    Good luck

    AUD - 82p
    FAR - 69, 72, 75p
    BEC - 09/2012
    REG - 10 or 11/2012

Using CPAExcel, Gleim for SIMs, and Red Bull

Your brain can only hold so much at any given time. Stick with BEC(if you fail) and then FAR afterwards.

    BEC - 84
    AUD - 83
    FAR - 82
    REG - 81

    I'm DONE! CERTIFIED PARTY ANIMAL!

You studied for BEC for 3 months? That sounds like a really long time to me. I studied for BEC for 5 weeks. I think part of this test involves short term memory. Granted, I was pretty positive I failed BEC, and ended up passing… who knows.

    REG- 53, 91
    BEC- 88
    FAR- 62, 85
    AUD- 85

    Ethics- 93

The three months did drag on at times. I did take a two week vacation and promptly forgot everything I learned to that point.

    I wouldn't assume you failed.

Since you KNOW you failed FAR, and that exam experience is still semi-fresh, why don't you take FAR next?

I'm confused that you're not considering this. Do you have a new NTS for BEC already, but not for FAR?

    REG - Passed!!
    BEC - Passed
    FAR - Passed
    AUD - Passed

I failed FAR with a 42, so I wasn't even close. I've been using Lambers for my test prep and after receiving the FAR grade, I spoke with someone at Lambers that advised me to wait on FAR and take the other three sections next to build up some confidence. I don't have an accounting degree, just a business degree and MBA, so a lot of the FAR concepts are things I've not had before so I'm learning the material, not reviewing it.
