I’ll try to keep a long story short… I bought all four parts of Becker and passed 3. I also bought NINJA + Wiley for the last two, to supplement. I just took my last part and failed. It’s been 18 months so I need to retake the last part as well as the first two.

My concern now is that Becker is expiring (well, already did) and I now need to retake three sections. I just finished paying off Becker at almost 4 grand, so I’d really rather not buy it again. I can’t get the free guarantee thing because I did self-study.

Do I suck it up and spend all my savings on Becker again, or try Yaeger or another class? Either way, I will probably supplement with NINJA again for the hell of it. Has anyone been in this situation? I’d really rather not buy Becker all over again if I don’t have to… but I don’t think I can use old materials now for 2013 AUD, FAR, and BEC?

You're fine with 2012 material for BEC, FAR, and REG… I've used older material (as have others in the forum) and fared well.

With that said, I would definitely recommend upgrading your AUD study material to the current year that is based on the changes made for exams taken after July 1 (clarity project). There are significant changes and in order to give it your best shot, you're probably going to want the updated information.

You can still get the Becker Promise even though you did self study. There is only one requirement…you must have completed 90% of all homework, viewed all the videos and then submitted the progress form.

It has nothing to do with self study vs in class.

If you didnt do that, then you are eligible to purchase becker at a 50% discount.

On the other hand, you have the 2012? books…get the NINJA 10pt combo and see what you think about that. It comes with Wiley test bank so that takes care of what I consider the most important part…working MCQ's. Read your books, take notes, work MCQ's and you will be done in almost no time…

If you passed with Becker, why try something else?

If you buy something else and it isn't working for you, then you are out that money plus more money for retakes. Stick with Becker, and knock it out. It's an investment into your future.

Thanks all. I will stick with Becker 2012 for now and start with retaking FAR. I'll try to retake it in July. I appreciate your help!

I love the NINJA 10 point combo and used it for REG… I actually used it the first time for FAR also and still failed. But I will try to be more effective this time and hope for the best. When it comes time to retake AUD, I'll maybe just purchase Becker AUD again for 2013 with the new material and the 50% discount. Thanks everyone!

First I want to say – kudos to you for not letting that fail cause you to give up! I am impressed that you are able to push forward and get through this!

Second, see if you can get an extension from Becker. I was able to get a free 90 extension. That may save you on one or even two parts and then you may only have to pay for the last part. Also, see if you can get the 50% off deal for returning to them.
