I’ve spoken to a few people who believe that the multiple choice testlets are generated based on how you perform on the prior testlet(s).. Does anybody know or feel that this is true? For Example If you do really well on the first testlet, the 2nd testlet is much more difficult.

It is most certainly true. Navigate to the AICPA's website under CPA exam and they have a document that explains such a pattern.

well thats good, Because i took FAR yesterday and my 2nd testlet was drastically harder than the 1st… My 3rd testlet however seemed easier than the 2nd, but not quite as easy as the 1st.. how should i read into that?

Real nice username, dickhead haha. To answer your second question, it means you didn't do very well on the second testlet. Read the document posted on the AICPA website.

Yeah it changes as you go but the amount of correct answers needed to score a 75 adjusts based on testlet difficulty.

Do you think that doing poorly on the 2nd testlet will drop my score too low, considering i think I did great on the 1st and 3rd testlets?

Still laughing about your username. Kinda sad that this type of humor still gets me in fits. What am I, a damn 4th grader?

Glad i can interject some laughter in your day… So how is my outlook if my exam went like this

Testlet 1 – Easy, knocked it out of the park

Testlet 2 – Very difficult, didnt do well

Testlet 3 – Easier than 2, did good, not great

Sims – Killed the first 4, had no idea on the 5th and probably got about 80% of 6 & 7 correct

Also, do pre-test questions factor in determining testlet diffuculty?

I do not think so based on that. That is how my FAR went as well and I passed. The sims are the missing part of the equation though. Did you complete them all? Do you feel reasonably confident about your answers? That will make the difference, hence the name Simslayer.
