Hello All! I know we are all in the same boat with the high pressures we put on ourselves concerning studying for the CPA exams. I need some suggestions! I searched the site for this answer, but only came across not so recent Q&A forums. Can anyone please suggest what to do next or share their experience 🙂 I sat for FAR and missed by 3 points (but as Jeff says, you didn’t miss by 3 – you still need 75 points to pass!) So I continue to drill my brain with Ninja/Wiley Test Bank/Becker Materials. I am sitting for FAR mid-May and would like to know what you all think is best to take next 🙂 I was thinking BEC or Audit.. Thoughts please fellow Ninjas.

    Thanks!

    FAR May 2014 - 90 (surprised myself!)
    AUD - Taking July 2014
    BEC - TBD
    REG - TBD

    AUD

A lot of overlap with FAR. For example, it's a good idea to know journal entries when you sit for AUD.

    FAR
    AUD 02/10/14 passed
    BEC
    REG

    Roger, WTB, Ninja materials

Just sat for FAR and currently studying for AUD. That's generally what I've heard is the best way to overlap material. Plus if you took and Audit course in college, it's fresher in your brain.

That's funny, Mike– I seriously considered taking them in alphabetical order after sort of accidentally starting with AUD (my audit professor told us to sit for it as soon as we could after taking his course). But I wanted to take FAR next since it's the hardest (definitely for me it will be), so I'm taking them in the same order as they're listed in the AICPA CSOs and my Wiley materials. It's nice to have a predetermined order!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

The first round, I took them “hardest to easiest”, but none were hardest or easiest, so the second round I started with the one I took last (AUD), then basically scheduled them in regards to how much time I thought I needed (5 weeks for BEC is ok, but not for FAR, etc) so if there was only 5 weeks left of the testing quarter, then BEC would be next.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

You can't go wrong with either. Both BEC and AUD feel so light compared to FAR.

I know some people who can't stand the thought of the exams and BARF all over themselves.
