My boyfriend/fiancée of 5 years dumped me yesterday and my test is on the 7th. I am having a hell of a time focusing and my mind just keeps wondering. Sleeping and eating are a battle. The last thing I want to do right now is study and I just want to zone out, get stoned, and watch tv. My emotions and my level of stress have never been this overwhelming.

Ha ha … not ALL the words, just some of them. I actually just watched the movie for the first time from beginning to end this past Monday with my 4 year old daughter while we were both sick. We've owned the movie since the day it came out on DVD, but I never had a chance to watch it from beginning to end until then. Great flick. And great song (up until the 78th time you've heard it). I heard Pearl Jam busted into that song during one of their concerts. 🙂

Hardly. There is a no drama policy here. When posts are vulgar or abusive they are gone. If they're just rude, silly and ignorant they get left. The beautiful thing is nobody is forced to stay here if they dislike the way things are run. I stick around because I genuinely like helping people along on their process to becoming a CPA but if someone just wants to talk smack and be abusive to others they can find plenty of other places to do that.

The only thing to accept or not accept are the rules of this forum. Every private business or organization has the right to lay out its own policies and rules. This forum has clear rules and has no reason to allow people to be abusive and or vulgar. If that's too much to ask of someone, they certainly belong elsewhere.

Considering that this site was made to be a place of support to people going through the CPA exam process it would be expected that a certain amount of professional decorum will be used by posters. Just because it is anonymous does not give people the right to say every little thing that pops into their head and think it is appropriate on this forum. There are plenty of places on the internet without rules that can be used for that. Without any kind of monitoring it would get out of hand and the people that truly want support will not come here. You would be left with a bunch of outspoken opinionated people that post simply for the thrill of drama and confrontation. There are ways to speak your mind and maintain your character without resulting to rudeness. Anyone that hasn't learned that by now will probably have a lot of issues succeeding in a real life working environment and the reason most people are here is because they want advice about how to succeed professionally.

Ummm, berating people for being upset about being dumped by their fiancé 4 days before their audit exam is not okay. Censoring rude/mean comments are exactly what the moderators are here for. Most forums censor comments and even kick users off for mean spirited comments. I'm glad the moderators deleted his comments; he was a total jerk.
