Will I need to change my time allocation strategy for the Q3-Q4 2016 exams? I read Roger’s and Becker’s info on the new DRS TBS question, but I was not able to find if it will be additional TBS question to existing 7 TBS (for FAR) or it will be one of the 7.

For me, it was entirely about mastering the MC, I would usually try to do the sims, but the MC were much more important. If you could do the MC, the sims were attainable.

Hi, thanks for the info. But my question only concerns about whether I should expect to allocate same amount of time for TBS as usual (I usually leave 15 min per question, so around 1 hour and 45 min for TBS section).

Does anyone know if there still will be 7 TBS question (including the new DRS) for FAR?

I don't think they're increasing the number of TBS until 2017.

It will be one of the 7 TBS questions. The big changes in the exam won't happen till April 2017.

Only good thing I can see about the upcoming changes is that one potty break will be allowed without cutting into your exam time.

FAR is adding 1 or 2 sims and giving you 15 mins for a potty break, and reducing multiple choice from 90 to 60. So that 45 mins you would have taken for the 3rd testlet is exchanged for 2 additional sims. I think that's not a terrible thing.

I'm assuming if on any test starting in July if you get two DRS that one of them would have to be a pre-test question then? Just like now if you get two research questions, one is a pre-test?
