Difficulty of testlests during exams

I read so many posts on this forum regarding difficulty of testlets being good or bad sign…… I am not sure I ever felt that my testlets got more difficult or easy. With all my exams I took so far (FAR and REG that I am waiting on scores and AUD that I actually passed) I was not able to distinguish a difficulty level difference in testlets. Should I really be worried? In my case, every testlet had a few tricky questions. I am not comparing SIMS. SIMS are different story. I would appreciate your feedback.

Becker self-study, Wiley Test Bank and books, Becker final review. NINJA MCQ bank and NINJA notes for BEC only!

    AUD - PASSED!
    FAR - PASSED!
    REG - PASSED!
    BEC - PASSED!

I would agree with you Nika. When I took REG, I thought the 2nd testlet was easier, which is usually a bad sign, but I passed so not really sure what that meant. IMO it is really hard to tell if it gets easier or harder. For FAR, AUD & BEC I could not gauge how well I was doing based off of the difficulty of the MCQ testlets.

I thought that I could tell on the two exams that I passed that the complexity level of the questions between testlets seemed to increase, but I felt like I wasn't sure. I would go from flagging 4 on the first to flagging 10 on the second and nearly half on the last one. Taking REG this last time (score not yet received) I had a lot of trouble with the multiple choice and definitely felt that the last testlet went back to more simplistic questions. I think it's all relative – while I could tell the questions were more complex they didn't seem harder. I think not being able to tell can be a good sign!

    BEC 7/3/14 - 79
FAR 8/30/14 - 64, 85 (used Becker and Ninja MCQ)
    AUD 10/3/14 - 82
    REG 11/25/14 - 85

My FAR exam seemed to stay at the same level of difficulty. I believe it's because Becker was much tougher than the actual test. AUD is totally different. My second set got crazy! I got so frustrated because I hadn't seen a lot of the material. Becker didn't provide the level of detail needed. I actually found the answers in the codification itself while Becker just mentioned the topics at a high level.

    F-Pass
    A-Pass
    R-Pass
    B-Pass

I felt like it was really easy to tell my AUD exam got harder. The first testlet I flagged three questions and was fairly certain I got the other ones correct. The second testlet felt like a different language. I flagged 16 of the thirty questions. I went from thinking there's no way I won't pass to thinking there's no way I'm going to pass. The third testlet I once again only flagged 3-5 questions.

I remember with AUD thinking after the first testlet this thing is easy. Second testlet felt I got hit with a mack truck. Of the four exams, this is the only one I could for sure tell testlets got harder.
