All the review courses sell some sort of cram or final review package…are they really helpful? Or are they unnecessary?

i got the RogerCPA cram course for AUD after failing a few times w/ Becker, the Ninja materials, and the WileyTestBank. The info didn't seem to be sinking in like it should so i figured I'd try to shake things up.

I personally didn't need any type of cram course or final review for FAR or BEC.

guess it depends on how you study & how you retain the information. I'm sure there's plenty of people that pass w/out any supplemental materials

    FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
    AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
    Licensed CPA!

Used Becker self-study materials (just this for FAR original & REG #1), WileyTestBank, NINJA notes/audio, and Roger cram course for AUD #5, REG #3 & FAR reboot. CPA!

I was just thinking about a cram course. I understand that you can't use it as the main study tool, but I wondered as well. My conclusion is not to spend anymore money….study diligently what I have and I should pass. But I guess a cram is not a bad idea if the materials is not sticking.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Thanks for the responses. I am trying to avoid becoming a CPA review product junkie because it is an expensive habit. I will see how my studies go…I am hoping I won't need to shell out for access to anymore review material or practice questions.

I purchased the CRAM courses for AUD and FAR. My review course gave me BEC for free. I felt as though I wanted to do everything possible to pass the sections. I didn't want to fail and wonder if I would have passed had I done the cram course.

    AUD - 76 (July 2012)
    FAR - 87 (Feb 2013
    BEC - April 2013
    REG - 81 (August 2012)

@givemesleep- im thinking about purchasing Rogers FAR cram course- did you have access to additional MCQs or was it purely lecturing & book material?

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

Rogers cram has access to wiley test bank questions. I used the full course, then the cram and supplemented with ninja audio. An expensive route but I wanted to pass the first time and money become secondary to my obsession of being a cpa

@givemesleep that's kind of how I am at this point too. I would rather spend money on CPA review materials then take this test forever. I'm using Rogers full course for FAR right now and i have the wiley focus notes but I really don't want to take this test again so I think I'll buy the cram course.
