CRAM Courses (what is included)

I know there are several different topics about this and throught about resurrecting one to ask there but this just seemed easier for some reason. I am gearing up for a retake of BEC in Nov. I have several materials already but was looking for another viewpoint to see if it would help. I had planned to purchase Rogers CRAM course on the first of Oct (payday). I like his style. I wanted to check out Yaeger one more time though and they are offering a special price break on their CRAM course and it is almost $100 difference. So now I am unsure. My biggest question with Yaeger is what does it include? I already have Wiley TB and textbook although I didn’t use the TB the first go around just my other Prep MCQ.

I learn best by seeing steps…I like to see how a problem is worked, I then can copy and apply…So any feedback as to which program, anyone had experience with them? Thanks in advance!

I just ordered the Roger Cram videos for FAR a few weeks ago. I opted for the USB drive so that I could get unlimited views of the videos. They limit you to 5 views for each video if you order the online access. The USB drive ended up costing almost twice as much after shipping than the online option ($400 vs $200) so I'm not too happy about that. Anyways I got:

    1) 2 USB drives with all his videos on them. You can activate them on 2 computers. I think they are great so far.

    2) Wiley Test Bank which would be useless for you since you have it.

    3) Book with some notes and explanations. I haven't really used this at all.

That is some expensive shipping. I like his style and wish I had his full course. I would def go with the online version though as I hope I wouldn't need to watch each video any more than 2 or 3 times at most. Yaeger's special is a really good value it seems. I am so on the fence.

Haha oops. I meant that the online cram course is $200 while the USB options is $400 ($380 + $20 shipping).

lol! That is a bit more reasonable. 🙂 I was worried for a moment about what all they send that makes shipping in the hundred dollar range. 🙂

Sorry, cannot help you on the CRAM question, but Roger's lectures for FAR & AUD were great! As far as BEC & REG, I'd say they were OK, but those topics are really straightforward, so you don't really need much explaining unless you completely forgot all the BEC topics….otherwise, I'd just practice the WTB MCQs.

The best advice from Roger as far as WC, make sure you use the key words from the problem asked – rephrase that paragraph in your response, and make sure it's on topic, even though it's not correct. I followed this rule, although I was skeptical about it, since I had no idea what to write on 2 out of 3 WC, but ended up with a “stronger” score. Good luck!

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

@smyoung0521 Hey i bought the yaeger cram for BEC and I really think it was a waste of money. All the instructor does is read the book most important points I have rogers full course and failed bec so i thought i needed to see the material in a diferrent way. I should have gone with his cram.
