Hi cpa people
I would like to ask about my strategy for cpa, is it will work or not!

I started to study this month with far, and planning to test on feb2018, then another 4 months for Aud, and another 4 for each until passing all 4 parts with total 16 month.

I know its too long journey but i think within 4 months I’ll be understanding the material for each oart very will.

Im planning to put every 3 months for studing and then fourth month for revesion only. Because I have 7 years out of school.

Four months for any of these exams is probably too long, except maybe FAR, and even then, I wouldn't go past 10-12 weeks. Studying for that long will result in burnout, and you won't be able to remember very much by the time you go into your exam.
You should try to aim for 20-25 hours/week of studying for 8-10 weeks depending on the section.

Some sections are longer than others. I'm also a long time out from school, and I'm on a 9 month plan. I think 16 months leads to the risk that you'll forget things and also that you could lose test scores if you get stuck on one of your later tests.

I am also out of school 10 years. My schedule has been BEC-3/17, REG-7/17, and AUD 9/17 with FAR scheduled for December. Also completed while working full time. I am not sure of your professional background (mine is all general accounting) but I think this will be your greatest strength. I was able to breeze over topics that I was familiar with and giving more time to the material that I needed to memorize and didn't use on a daily basis. Keep your exam scheduled for Feb for FAR but once you are familiar with the experience I think you will develop the ability to judge how long you think you will need.

You also want to give yourself at least one window in the event you fail one to make it up without losing any credit for prior passed.

At my firm, it seems like people have better luck when they work on one or two exams at a time. Here is what I did, and it left me with a lot of time.

I started with REG and took it at the beginning of a test Window. Then, I took BEC at the end of that same testing window. I failed both.
I re-tested for BEC right away (beginning of a test window) – then took REG at the end of that same test window. Passed REG – then flipped back to BEC and passed that one on my third try.

Then I took Audit next and passed that one – and flipped to FAR. I was able to pass 3 exams in 6 months – leaving lots of time for FAR.

I think it's easier to flip back and take a failed exam as soon as you can – while the material is fresh.

Try connecting with a study partner nearby that will help. Few of my CPA friends have got good study buddies from it.

8-9 weeks max for each section other wise you WILL forget the material. I did 9 weeks for far, 8 for reg, 6 for aud, 5 for bec.

I had been out of school for 6 years and working 55 hours per week.

You are not going to grasp the material better after another 8 weeks but you will forget a lot.

What would you guys suggest in terms of test plans? I got becker through my company and have been just reading the book because the videos don't seem too helpful. I was debating on supplementing it with Roger for his videos to get the concepts clear or just the NINJA test bank or both? I am studying for AUD and REG right now and sitting for the tests in April and May under the provisional status.
