So Finally i registered for CPA exam and i got eligible. So next step is to go far the exam. I have 2 question.

A – Initially when i submitted for the exam I selected a specific type of exam, can i change that? For example, i registered for FAR and can i change it too REG?

B – I need suggestion for which site/books to use for home study. I work full time so i will be studying around 2 or 3 hrs weeknights and 8 hrs each on Weekends. I am pretty sure i will be pulling 4 to 6 hrs each nights and more than 8 hrs on weekend. I was suggested to go with Rogers along with Ninja notes. Please advice.

    Welcome jay

Unfortunately you cannot change which section you registered for. Once your initial application has been fully processed you could apply for a different part, but that would mean you have 2 active NTS and that's only recommended if you know for a fact you can take both exams before they expire. If you do not want to register for a second exam, you will have to stick with FAR.

As for study materials, everyone likes something different. A lot of people love Becker, but I hated Becker. I have CPAexcel and think the videos are great, but the question bank isn't very good so I supplement with the Wiley test bank. Your best bet is to browse different companies' websites and see if you can find trials or samples of their material so you can make the best decision for yourself. I have heard other people on this site who used Roger and liked it.

    Good luck!

Wiley book and Wiley test bank are all I used. They have worked well for me. Work every single MCQ and Sim and you should have a resonable shot to pass.

    BEC - 5/2012 - 91
    AUD - 8/2012 - 89
    REG - 1/2013 - 90
    FAR - 5/2013 - 88
Wife, 2 kids and a job

@jay: Make sure if you have a smart phone you like to purchase the wiley test bank for that as well.

I have it on my android and it is great if I ever find myself with a few free minutes

    AUD: 8/17/2012
    REG: 4/29/2013
    BEC: 7/8/2013
    FAR: 1/16/2014
