i used cpa excel exclusively for AUD. REG and BEC. I used it for FAR but threw in the Wiley Book as well. Its good for self study people. I think the FAR section kind of lacks in terms of governmental and not for profit, thats why i purchased the wiley book.

    AUD 81, REG 65 78, BEC 75, FAR 71 85(8/3/2010)

I completed the REG program in CPAExcel and then started using the Becker Final Review. I soon realized that I was not even close to understanding any of the material and obtained and completed the Becker REG self study in the 10 days before my exam. In my opinion, Becker is a Lamborghini compared to CPAExcel as a Ford Pinto. I ended up scoring a 90 and I am sure I would have failed if I only used CPAExcel.

    NOVEMBER 2003 - AUD 69 - LPR 62 - FARE 66 - ARE 57
    WORK, MARRIAGE, CHILD
    2010 - REG (90) - AUD (91) - FAR (93) - BEC (89)

I used CPAExcel exclusively and passed all 4 sections on the first try. I thought it was a great review course, I was never disappointed in any of the material. I purchased it in Feb. 2009 and I didn't start studying until July 2009, by April 2010 I had taken all 4 parts and got my last score (FAR) in May 2010. I have been out of school since 1992, but I have a lot of years of experience. A co-worker (younger and less experienced) used CPAExcel as well and had no problems with BEC & AUD, but had to retake REG & FAR. He did pass the second time around, which is not that unusual for any review course.

There are many good review courses. You just have to figure out which fits your on personal learning style. I think CPAExcel just fit mine well. Anyway, that's my 2 cents!

    BEC – 84

    REG – 78

    AUD – 91

    FAR – 94

I used CPAexcel for all 4 parts. I liked it because the text is divided into small bite sized information. But CPAexcel does not have a lot of MC questions. So, I had to supplemented it with questions from Wiley.

What do you mean which version? Which course? Well, since everyone's study style is different and lots of people have success with every course out there, you would be better off evaluating what your own personal study preferences are and finding a course that fits that.

I believe there are a lot of posts already on this forum where different people have discussed their experiences with different courses and the pros/cons of each…

From my own personal experience, Becker has been good to me so far. I did use Jeff's NINJA to supplement BEC and will use it for REG too. I have passed BEC and FAR so far. I take Audit 7-26 and REG 8-31.

    Good luck to you!
