I have been selling financial and tax software for many years and I have a Masters in Tax. I am looking to simplify my life and get out of sales since I am in my mid 50’s. I have met all of the requirements to sit for the exam and I have saved up enough money to take a year off and dedicate myself to studying for it. Once finished my goal is to be able to have options in the accounting world to pursue personally and professionally. Is this realistic if so what would be the forums recommendations in terms of approach, amount of time to study daily and weekly. Is studying 5-8 hours per day overkill if I haven’t looked at the material in a long time. I am truly focused on getting a CPA license at this stage in my life.
