Hi guys, this is my 4th attempt to take the cpa but I am 32 and I was wondering if career wise this is the right move? I have an acct background, and work in acct/finance and I really want to take the and pass the test. Two years ago I started on it but I lost my cousin so I took time off to really to focus on myself. This time I am focused and determined!!

I went back to school to get the required accounting credits at age 55. Now I am 58 and have just passed the fourth exam. Age itself is no reason not to pursue this goal. You may even find that your maturity, real-world experience, and discipline give you an advantage over younger candidates. Hang in there and do it, @Ag12thman!

I passed at 33, and it wasn't until after my 34th birthday. I have nearly 10 years of experience already at manager and director level in industry (early part of my career in B4). Let me tell you… now my LinkedIn is BLOWING up jobs just because of three little letters after my name C-P-A.

I think a couple places are offering 30-50k more in annual comp right out of the gates than I'm getting now. So is it worth getting it “late”… hell yea man.
