    Hi guys,

I purchased the ninja ten points combo lite today and I also looked at the ninja study planner, it says the first thing to do is to watch CPA video. I didn’t buy any CPA videos, all I have is wiley testbank, books, ten point combo and some course packets from my school’s CPA review course, I was wondering how should I make up for not having the CPA videos?

I would really appreciate any input or advise, thank you in advance!

You can do it but you might want to get a bit more than that. What the courses/materials/study packages also give you is a topic by topic breakdown of what you need to know. While the AICPA does break it down – they don't quite break it down like a course package does.

If price is your major issue – I would use the wiley text book per subject and the wiley test bank that you already have – referring to your books for additional info and exercises on the more complicated topics.

The videos walk you through the material usually skipping lighter tested topics and focusing on the most important information. You can use the NINJA packet to highlight the important topics. First match the Ninja topics to your Wiley Test Bank topics.

By using Ninja as an outline, (in your situation) I would read the text and take notes. Then go to Wiley test bank and work maybe 1/4 of the multiple choice questions on that topic in practice mode. Take additional notes on the questions/answers. And probably 1-2 sims (permitting).

Wiley will keep track of your score if you save the session. Don't worry about your scores.

Without delay, move on to the next topic. The first time through the idea is just to get an introduction to the material.

After you work through each subject…

Go back through in more detail. Begin with the heaviest weighted area. Rewrite your notes (including notes from homework). And work additional questions until you are scoring >70. Then move on to the next topic.

Make sure to go back to your text/materials to review any areas that you lack understanding of the concepts.

Reread ninja notes constantly. Listen to audio constantly.

After that, go back through a third time for your final review. Start with weakest areas (based on scores) and get your scores in the 80s.

    Good luck!

I would second what MCLKT says in terms of studying.

    Good Luck!
