Just wondering what everyone’s experience is with the correlation between their practice test scores and what they got on the exam? ie: i was getting 80s on the practice tests but only got a 70 on the exam.

    Aud-75 3x I knew i never liked you
Bec-77 1x being in the bubble is stressful
Reg-82 4x its not me its you...and no we cant be friends
    Far-78 1x easiest section

I would search the forum. There have been about 2 or 3 posts that had a lot of good responses to this same question. If you want an official answer, so you do not have to dig, here it is:

Practice tests where it is possible you have seen at least some of the questions:

0 to 10 points lower than actual CPA exam score. (ex. 80 on practice test 90 on CPA exam)

Practice tests where they are all fresh questions:

5 to 15 points lower than the actual CPA exam score. (ex. 65 on practice test 80 on CPA exam)

These are unofficial, but I am willing to bet I would get more people to agree with me, as opposed to disagree.

    F - 79 5/31/13
    R - 68 07/12/13 Retake 88! 10/18/13
    B - 78 08/31/13
    A - 64 01/03/14 Retake 75! 5/23/14 I would rather have a 75 than a 99 any day!

I also agree with the above statement, my practice test scores pretty consistently run 5 to 10 points lower than my actual exam scores. I am using the Wiley test bank for my practice exams, coupled with Yaeger and Ninja materials.

    AUD - 2/2013 - Passed!
    BEC - 5/2013 - Passed!
    FAR - 8/2013 - Passed!
    REG - 11/2013 - Passed!

    FAR practice – 87

    FAR actual – 93

I think the practice test may be harder than the real thing. Some of the questions in the Wiley book are crazy!

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

    Hi everyone!

    I disagree 🙁

My experience has been the total opposite… I will score in the mid 70's and 80's and got a 72 test score for AUD.

    Wish it was the opposite!

    Re take – Mid February~!

For BEC I scored on the practice what I got on the test because I pretty much knew all the material and aced both. But now you guys are scaring me with these audit test and practice scores disconnect because I'm already really uneasy about taking Auditing and I didn't study as much as I should've

    Hi,

For AUD the main focus should be the “concepts” there's plenty of time on the test… so take your time and read (slowly) each question….

I've taking it twice already… and believe me when I say “read slowly”

    Good luck.
