College Course or Study for CPA?

I found out a few months back that I needed a college course with the word “audit” in the title before I could sit for the CPA. I passed Auditing online at LSU and now I’m wondering if I should take another college accounting course or begin to study for the first part of the CPA exam. I’m only thinking of taking another course prior to exam study because:

    1. I’ll need a few college level accounting courses eventually (I graduated in 2004)

    2. I work in finance and feel like there’s a lot I haven’t covered since college

What do you think – Jump into exam study and figure out the college credits on the back end or take at least another broad accounting course first?

    Thanks!

The worse feeling, only second to Death, is passing on the exams and still needing College Credits to get your license!! I suggest meeting the credit requirement first. Or LSU has a individual tax course, take that while studying for REG? or If you recently completed Audit maybe schedule ur first test as AUD? Or do them simultaneously if you have the time. Good luck!
