After 8/31 I have REG and BEC left to take. I just received my NTS for both and want to take both by the end of 2013, however due to the field of accounting I specialize in, the end of September through October 15 is very busy – busy enough that it would interfere with any study schedule I plan for myself. So I am thinking about taking one of the exams in early to mid January 2014.

So my question is If I decide to take REG in January 2014 does it put me at a disadvantage if I am studying with Becker’s 2013 REG materials? Do the REG exam questions update annually to take into effect the updated tax tables, deductions, etc.?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would imagine that until 7/1/2014, taking REG will be the same as taking it in the second half of 2013 (i.e. you will need to go on Becker's website for the updated tax material, but it's not a big deal).
