I’m leaning towards 5 pm. 8 AM is very early to be alert/able to take a 4 hour exam. Any other opinions/views?

I like 8 am. The way I see it, if your sitting in that chair clicking “begin” on your computer, even if you are a bit tired, adrenaline will kick in and getting through the test will be fine. Sure you will be worn out and useless the rest of the day, but you will be done by 12, and even better, when 5 pm rolls around, you can say, “at least I don't have to takes cpa exam tonight!”

    Audit(11/5/13) - 89
    Reg(5/16/14) - 86
    FAR(7/18/14) - 82
    BEC(11/14) - 85

I like 5pm. 8 am or 12pm are both bad for me cos I get drowsy at these times.

I say 12:30 is the best. I passed my first exam, BEC, at that time period, took my 2nd exam at 8AM in the room next door and failed. I then passed FAR with 12:30 time in the same room as BEC. After that I made sure I scheduled my REG and AUD re-take at 12:30 in the same room were I passed BEC and FAR, lol.

    BEC 4/3/13 84
    AUD 5/7/13 69, Retake 11/9/13 82
    FAR 8/13/13 78
    REG 10/11/13 85

    Ethics CA (78%, 90%)

I actually have ADD and take medicine for it, so i'm most alert in the morning and take exams in the 8am-9am start time range. But thats just me.

I took my exams around noon. Perfect time for me since I'm not a morning person and 5pm seems way too late.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

If you take it later in the day, you're going to be stressed about it all day.

All my tests have been scheduled at noon on weekdays. My closest test center is 1.5 hours away, so in order to prevent traffic stress I arrive around 10-10:30. Every time I arrive I have asked to check in early and have been seated right away. I love being able to walk in and just get it over with.
