Best Way for Final Review?

So I’ve looked all over yesterday and I could not find Jeff’s way to final review that I found earlier this year (assuming I’m not crazy and there is one). My first CPA test is FAR and is on Oct 25 (eekk 9 days!). I finished the videos using ELL about a day ago (while fighting a sinus infection). What next? MCQ? And when I do those I use WTB I should do practice session, each section, 20 questions each, no sims? I have Ninja notes and audio, should I be switching between reading/rewriting those with MCQ or just focus on MCQ? Thanks in advance!!

For my final review I do as many sims as possible plus do as many 90 question mcq sessions as possible. Do not under-practice sims. That was my big mistake when I took my first test. The sims count for 40% of your grade and by the time you get to them you will be tired, stressed for time…that is why you need to practice hard for the sims. Mcqs are easier to guess than sims.

Do MCQs next. Since you don't have a lot of time, don't set out to do all questions in each section. Just enough to “get it.” I tell myself to do 80% but if I am pretty pressed with time I cut it down to 75% of the MCQs in each section. You need to focus on MCQs because that is how you learn this stuff! You have no time to stress over Sims. If you know the material, you should be able to do fine on Sims IMO.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

I have been doing MCQs. 20 each and I started with the first section of Basic Concepts… And I'm pretty discouraged as I don't remember a thing! Its starting to worry me. I also did all the questions assigned by Yaeger in the book because I did them prior to taking the Ninja advice. So I feel a little stuck with the first few secions. Any suggestions there? Installment Sales is catching me up…

As you work the questions and you find there is something you are not getting, review it in the book and take notes. Keep a sheet of important things like mnemonics and formulas to memorize. Go back to that sheet for reference as you work the questions and rewrite it multiple times. If you don't feel ready, consider rescheduling. An extra week can make a huge difference.
