Hi all, I am about to begin studing for the CPA and I am currently trying to pick out the right review guides. Most likely it will be becker but that is only because of its brand name recognition( :s ). I would like to take FAR first and get the hardest one out of the way first. My worry is if i buy a 2011 review pack and I do not pass FAR this year, what that would mean as far as getting the updated 2012 review.

    Any suggestions or advice? Thanks!

I wouldn't buy a review course based on brand name recognition. In addition to Becker, a lot of posters on here use and are very happy with Yaeger or Roger.

I am a becker user and I wish I had done my research BEFORE I purchased. I think that the product is soo popular because it is paid for employees of the BIG 4. It is all about learning style not brand (luckily I have a learning style like becker well we will see if I actually pass). Watch some demo's before purchase because you do not want to retake because you like a brand name.

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

well i'm probably going to buy yaeger because it can instruct in addition to review. I just want to make sure that if I buy the 2011 edition and dont pass, that I will not need to buy the 2012 version. Does anyone know how yaeger or becker handle this?
