I recently took my last CPA exam and used Becker self-study. My sister is looking into Becker’s FastPass program. I hear some people passed all 4 sections within 2-3 months. Did anyone do this? Is it very exhausting? Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

I just did this over the summer. First exam was may 31…last was July 31. I think it worked perfectly for me. As long as you follow the plan you should be in good shape. Getting it all done in a short period of time is a good way to do it i think…less time to forget stuff. I think it would be especially good for people who are just finishing college…everything is still fresh so you really don't need a bunch of time to relearn anything.

Its a great plan. I did it as well. check the dates on my signature. Its nonstop work, but I would rather have intense pain for a short period of time rather than dragging it out over a year or more. I also think that this information lends itself well to cramming, its all about keeping it fresh in your mind.

I did it as well. So far so good. Intense but worth it.

If you can put the appropriate amount of time into it (meaning not working or going to school full time), then I would definitely recommend it. I wish it was something I could've done.

I haven't used Becker FastPass, but passing everything within a couple months is feasible. I'll have 3 within about 2-3 months, and could've had the 4th except for that I thought it “couldn't” be done, so didn't try. And…I've been working 35-40 hrs/wk while doing it. I seriously looked at the material I had to study, the time it would take, etc., and figure out how to get my last 3 sections into this last window, but at the time, I'd never seen someone do that many in one window, so I thought I was being ridiculous and spread things back out. Ended up just sitting around for enough time to have done REG. Oh well, this way I have a week of vacation which is also study-free…which is a good thing…just not quite what I'd been planning on! 😛

So, it is quite feasible to pass them all in that length of time if you're using a course which is quick enough. Something with 300 hours of lectures per exam is going to be hard to fit into one testing window. 😉 But something with shorter lectures or no lectures makes it much more feasible! I use Wiley books, so no lectures. Probably about 20-40 hours of reading the book, depending on the exam, and then however many hours of MCQs and SIMs it takes (I use the test bank for my MCQs and SIMs, but the book's problems are good too), so that sort of study-regiment can be fit in around life in a short length of time. Sounds like FastPass also focuses on not spending forever in front of the TV watching lectures! So like I said, anything with short lectures or no lectures makes it MUCH easier to pass these quickly, and makes it quite possible to pass them all in a testing window. We have a couple people on here who are doing that this test window, and one in particular that I know about (dutkas) just got back his 3rd passing score and is about ready to take his last exam, having just taken his first one start of last month! I don't know offhand what curriculum he is using.
