Could I get some feedback regarding the live classes provided in Puerto Rico. Was it worth the investment?

    Thanks In Advance.

I'm from Puerto Rico and bought the Becker “self study” for all 4 parts. I really believe the self study is a better investment since you can repeat the lectures over and over until you feel prepared. The instructors in the lectures are world class instructors, compared to the local instructors in Puerto Rico. I have a friend from P.R. that just passed all sections while doing the live classes and he told me the classes are a waste of time, as all they do is play the same lectures from the self study in a big screen. My recommendation for you is to buy the Becker self study materials ( Becker is the best CPA review course by far) and really dedicate yourself to pass this exam.

Best of all: Becker's partner in Puerto Rico currently has the lowest prices on Becker products nationwide. The whole self study course, which included the lectures, passmaster software, books and the flashcards cost me $1,400, compared to $3,000 in the U.S (without the flash cards)

on another note: From which part of PR are you from?

I'm from PR and bought Becker with live classes and did not consider it a waste of money. The fact is that in class you can ask question directly to the professors and listen to questions other people might have. But if you can manage with the lectures and self study then by all means do it. The best part is you don't have to sit in an auditorium for 4-8 hrs on Tue/Thur or Sat.

So far I have passed FAR and AUD. Had a huge bummer with REG with a 74 and still trying to defeat BEC! So that was 2 out of 4 from the first try (could have been 3 out of 4) which I think is good.

    Anyway, good luck!
