I have a friend who is going back to get his masters full time and the school builds in becker cpa exam review in with the masters course. They had a representative from becker come and he told me that he was told that becker has all of the questions that the cpa exam may ask. Do they really? How is that fair for the other review courses and candidates who didn’t choose becker? He said that he was told that he would have all of the possible questions the cpa exam could ask, it is just that there are so many that he wouldn’t be able to remember them all. However, even if he got lucky enough to only remember a few that was in the study material then that would be easy points on the exam. Is it true? And if it is, then how is it fair?

@MEA, thats neat,…I know that cpa review courses have RELEASED CPA exam questions, but my friend was told they were all of the ones from the exam, including the non-released ones.

@jcw1503 I am sorry to tell you this but your friend is lying. No review course has all the questions I have done every Becker question that they have available for the exams I took and trust me they are not the same as the Becker questions.

    AUD - 08/20/12 - 82
    REG - 10/30/12 - 82
    FAR - 01/05/13 - 80
    BEC - 04/15/13 - 84

I sincerely doubt any legitimate prep courses have actual live questions.

I know that for both sections I've taken, there were questions that looked very similar to the released questions I practiced, but they were, in fact, totally different.

Believe me, I did practice REG MC so many times that I when I pulled them at random, I started to know the answers just from glancing at the setup. You”ll find the CPA exam can use the exact same scenario you saw in practice but ask a completely different question.

    FAR: Passed
    REG: Passed
    BEC: Passed
    AUD: Passed

There are 3 types of practice questions:

    1. Questions that providers license from the AICPA. The Wiley Test Bank uses these.

    2. The AICPA “released” questions … that you see for free on some provider websites … don't know if these are licensed or not or if anyone can take them and write up answers and resell them (not sure)

    3. Provider-authored questions

The playing field is level … There are no providers who have an inside scoop on questions better than #1
