Becker: No. of HW problems = Importance?

So I have 3 days to go before my exam, and instead of panicking I want to make the most of my time and focus my energies on areas that I’m weak on, and are going to get tested the most.

With Becker, the “Tax Calculation and Credits” section on R2 is where my nightmares are at. There’s just so many little credits with phaseouts. However, Becker has 9 questions for that section.

I know there are no guarantees, but does that mean I should prioritize other areas that Becker assigned more questions to for HW?

All I can say is that my REG exam was a big surprise in terms of weighing. One particular nightmarish section which was super heavy in the book, was barely tested. I kept waiting for it with each click of “NEXT>>” but nothing.

I'm not sure this answers your question. Generally, on aggregate, topic which are heavily covered are given more weight. I would hat to steer you in the wrong direction. My sample of one experience has been mixed.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

In my experience it's not a god idea to use that as a barometer of importance. Focus on the AICPA CSO to determine what is important and what's not.

I had a similar experience to zieba. On BEC, I never even saw questions from two of the CSO areas. My auditing exam and my REG (1st attempt) were also both heavy in certain areas and there was one area on each that was not even tested (that's included on the CSO's) and one area in REG where the CSO is supposed to be something like 16-18% and I saw one question on it.

I actually have even started to wonder why they publish the CSO's with percentages.
