Hey guys! I passed FAR, AUD & REG all on the first try with no problems. BEC on the other hand is kicking my ass. Scored a 73 the first time and 70 the second time so I’m not too far off but I need to pass this come October or I lose FAR. What I need from you is specific advice as far as things that you have done to get you over the hump. I’m particularly interested in people who have had to retake the test. I’m using Yaeger videos, Ninja Audio and Wiley testbank mainly. This last attempt I used Ninja MCQ a little. I’m not going to blame it on my review material….it ultimately falls on me……I know that every test is different so I need BEC specifics. Ready, set , go!!!

This thread makes me afraid… very afraid… for my last test.

I wonder if you went from stronger to weaker in those areas from understudying them this time, since you were stronger before? And you just focused on the weaker areas? Something to watch for as you work on kicking this thing's butt.

These score reports makes things worse and even deepened my thoughts about the stupid conspiracy theories going on at the AICPA as far as the grading of BEC is concerned. I wouldn't even rely on anything they say on the score reports any more.

This is the summary

Look at the tremendous improvement above and I still didn't get 75, all I got was a 1 point difference. I think about this every-time and I just don't get it.

Yeah, I think Jeff has said in a podcast not to pay attention to score reports when you are studying for a retake. Seems like good advice. They just make everything more confusing and mess with your head.

Don't pay attention to the score report. For CPA's that are supposed to put out meaningful information only, those are certainly a waste of paper. I'll see if I can find the breakdown of what goes in each of those categories for you tonight. I have it in an excel spreadsheet that breaks it down by Wiley chapter.
