AnonymousInactiveBaxterCPA: Thank you for the wonderful thoughts. Things are going well here. Still tired ect . . .
but the surgery went well. No meltdowns yet. 🙂 I am holding up better than I anticipated.
Still debating on taking FAR in on the 29th. It hurts to sit in office chairs still For any length of time!
And my concentration is not great again. I am glad your test is done. My thoughts with you and your father. I hope you will be able to celebrate being a CPA with him soon!
Thank you again (hugs)

AnonymousInactiveThe first things I heard when seeing my husband and dad after the surgery was, you got an 80!! That was great news to be done with surgery on. I am in Oregon, so I emailed the Board the day before, and I had the email forwarded in my office and requested that they let my husband know if I passed. As it was BEC, I knew if I did not hear, it may be the “bubble” so I would not think about it for a few days. I am finally 2/3's done! FAR left to tackle.

AnonymousInactiveBeach Girl: That is wonderful news about BEC! Congratulations! I'm happy to hear that the surgery went well. I wish I could take a nap and wake up on score release day with a passing grade. =) Take a day or two to think about FAR and do what you feel is right! You are almost there! So happy for you!

AnonymousInactiveBaxter: I am feeling better each day. My biggest frustration is that I have been more tired than I would like to be, and some things wear me out quickly. But I have been told that is a common complaint, and I am where I should be at this point. Energy is slowly coming back, so that is a good sign.
No, I did not end up taking the test in Aug. To test I have to drive 2 hours. About a week prior, my father in law had a stroke, and we drove 1 hour away to see him. I was so exhausted after, I knew that I probably could get to the testing center, and sit, but I would be fighting exhaustion and some pain too, and that would not make a good environment to pass the test. Not having made it through all the material also, I decided that I should wait. I was hard to make that call, but I knew I would have a better chance at passing if I tested in Oct.
So we will be testing in early October together. I have been thinking about you. How are you?
I am glad that August is done, and September and October will be much better months!

AnonymousInactiveWon't it be awesome to get passing grades in the same score release wave? I'm doing fine…just trying to keep up with school work and studying. I am having a hard time getting back into the full study mode for FAR and I feel so defeated already. My surgery is set for Oct 16 …at least I will have good pain meds to keep my mind off score release?! =) Good luck to you!

AnonymousInactiveYes, we will both get passing scores the next wave!!!
My dad told me as I was trying to decide about taking the test (I was not feeling ready and able to pass), that I needed to be positive, and tell myself that I will pass, and feel like I will. It is hard to shake the bad feelings, but you are so close. you can do this!
Good luck to you. I have been praying for you and your family.
