Back to studying I guess…

Hey everybody. First time poster, long time forum stalker.

I started the CPA journey earlier this year and after scoring in the 80s for the first 3 exams I was pretty confident in myself. I used Becker self study for all 4 and I was pretty confident going into the tests, but that overpowering feeling of failure hits right as you walk out the door.

I studied for AUD for 2 months and was consistently getting high 60s/low 70s on practice tests, but ended up with a fantastic 63 on the exam, so I’m obviously looking to change that.

Any good materials to add on to Becker since it’ll be a new year with new testable material? Kind of on a budget since I’ve already spent $4k+ on all of this already…

I would supplement Becker with Ninja 10 point combo – it comes with audio, notes and the Wiley test bank.

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.

Refer to my signature and add the 10 Point Combo. For myself, the trick to passing AUD was spending more time writing and reading my personal notes (the NINJA Method) versus working thousands of Becker multiple choice questions (can lead to memorization of word problems).

    BEC: 72, 83
AUD: 58, 87 (added the 10 Point Combo)
    REG: 74, 69, 76
    FAR: 61, 64, 78

Thanks for the advice Determined and Griffin. I think the problem that I saw with Becker was the fact that they didn't emphasize the importance of the interconnectedness of the other exams to AUD, which is where I know the points were lost. When will 2014 AUD 10 point combo be available? I looked at the package and I definitely think it will help. And it's a price I'd be willing to pay.

I agree with Griffin – I just took audit 2 days ago and was so thankful that I read and re-read my notes as many times as I did. For audit, I found this to be very helpful on exam day. Not that I'm 100% sure I passed, but I didn't want to throw myself in front of moving traffic after I walked out of the exam, if that means anything.

Def suggest the 10 point combo and good luck!

I used the Ninja Notes/Audio/Flashcards and the WTB for my retake and raised my grade 20 points.
