So I’m doing “non-stop MCQs” for AUD right now…after about 500, I’ve been noticing that most of my answering process is eliminating one or two impossible answers and making a logical, educated guess that “sounds right”. I’m hovering right around 70%, so I’m not doing terribly at this stage. Has anyone else felt this way preparing for AUD? Am I not studying properly or am I actually subconsciously slowly understanding the material?

Just keep doing MCQs. I wrote down the explanation to the ones I missed- it’s all in the wording. The more MCQs you do, the easier it becomes to choose the correct answer.

If you are using a comprehensive AUD program like Becker, it might be a good idea to go back to the concepts as well as answering questions like a machine gun. Personally, I would focus on the former. It's like learning to type. You will learn to type much faster if you know where your fingers should go via a course rather than just hitting keys. So do some studying in addition to answering questions rapid-fire style.

By the way, even after taking Becker, if I had stuck to doing thousands of questions, I would have become proficient at answering Becker questions. There were virtually no questions on the exam that resembled Becker questions. The exam was conceptual, so take some time to go back and look at the concepts.

Yes! Generally, if you use the material well enough, the MCQs or most of them will be very easy on the actual exam! They may even feel elementary at times. The review material usually over prepares you jic a monkey wrench is thrown in. Don't worry, you will do fine 🙂

Just make sure you really UNDERSTAND concepts and not merely memorizes things. This will you use logic on the SIMs…which you don't have to study. Understanding things is the key to conquer this thing. Good Luck

I felt that way just recently while studying for BEC. Eliminated two, and it usually came down to two questions.

I should add- I used Becker and NINJA MCQs. I didn’t pass until I ditched Becker MCQs for NINJA MCQs, but everyone is different. Good luck!
