    @CPA Mommy – That is awesome that you have passed a part. That proves that you can do it. My problem is that I dont want to take the time from my kids, so I need to find that balance. I do study after they go to bed, but I feel like nothing sticks because my mind is exhausted. We will get through it though. I want this for my children and I have to tell myself that everyday.

    @gt5717b – Much respect to you. You and CPAMommy just show me that it can be done and I need to get over myself. I just need to find my groove and I think it will all work out. I push to study from 8:30-9 until about 11 on the weekdays and try to stay up later on the weekends. As far as lead time, how much time did you give yourself for FAR and did you study everyday? What was your study schedule? My mind feels like mush from being a working mommy.

    @jen123 – For REG and FAR, I gave myself about 8 weeks. For both, I kept putting off scheduling the exams and sort of studying here and there. I finally just picked a test date to force myself to buckle down and get it done. Again, I didn't study every day of the 8 weeks, but it gave me enough time that I didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed. Sometimes life gets in the way and you have to account for that.

    My study regimen (which I'm not great at keeping to BTW) is to watch all the videos (I use Yaeger) and work the problems in the book with the instructor. I typically pause the video and try to answer before they reveal it. Once I have finished all the videos, I do WTB MCQs to see what areas I need to focus the most attention on. Then, I read over those chapters again and drill MCQs specifically on that section. Wash, rinse, repeat, until I feel proficient in each section. I'll also work the suggested problems in the Wiley book. It's not terribly scientific, but it's worked okay so far.

    If I'm really having trouble with a chapter, I go through the chapter outline in Wiley and write down the key points of each section in my own words.

    I study at night from 9 to 11/12pm and on weekends when the kids are napping. But I'm also able to study at work which is very beneficial, though, I know not everyone can do that.

    @CR7 I will be working part time (25-30 hours per week) so I expect to finish the whole stuff in about 8 months. English is not my native language so it takes time for me to get the concept deeply. What you say is completely true, once that you get your designation is easier to get better jobs so quitting or working part time – when you can do it and afford it, of course – is a good idea as long as you commit to do it.

    I'm excited to start this, because I will finish it as soon as I can!!!

    Good luck to everyone!

    @tough_kitty – lol!

    @Everyone – It really is nice to see other people working so hard. The only people I know my age who have passed all four parts are the spoiled brats who had all the time in the world to study with no kids or weren't in a relationship that they actually cared about (sorry for offending those fortunate enough to have that opportunity, haha).

    I'm working full time for a small CPA firm. Fri-Sun I deliver Chinese food. My boyfriend and I live together. Poor fella is constantly neglected. Has been watching me work two jobs while going to college and now studying for my CPA license. Oh yah… almost forgot. Now my company has me taking classes to become a registered municipal auditor in NJ (which I need my CPA license before I can be registered).

    To those of you who wake up and study before going to work, I admire you. I can hardly wake up on time for work. My lunch for work is only a half hour, so not much studying gets done then.

    I study approx. 3 hours Mon-Thurs. Friday I can't study because I work both jobs and by the time I get home I'm just crawling into bed. My weekends mornings are spent cleaning, food shopping, and making up for anything else that needs to be done so that people don't think I'm a hobo until the time I go to my deliver job. If I miss studying a day on a week day I make up for that studying during the weekend. Recently I've been able to squeeze in a bit more studying on the weekends though before I get chores done.

    I've started thinking of getting the ninja audio so I can listen to it while doing deliveries. However, I find it difficult to even listen to the radio when I'm trying to find a customer's house because they think ordering food for an un-numbered home with no lights left on is a great idea. Thanks for the Blitz stuff this weekend, I think it'll help me better determine if the audio will be useful for me.

    BEC - 80
    AUD - 64, 75 - credit lost, 90!!
    REG - 73, 74, 83
    FAR - 61, 72, 85

    Feels good finishing on my best note. Time to watch the mailbox.
