Are SIMS difficulty based on how you did on multiple choice?

    If so, that would explain some things….

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

    “Officially” … no. There is a guide to the CPA exam out there. It specifically says that the SIMS are decided when you start the test, and have nothing to do with the difficultly of the MCQs, and how you do on the MCQs

    BEC - [08/31/2014 --> 86]
    AUD - [11/24/2014 --> 88]
    REG - [02/14/2015 --> 92]

    …which goes to show you that getting 2 research sims doesn't mean you're failing. Most likely, one is pretest.

    Really hope the research question I got wrong is the pretest and the other one I got right is the actual one.

    Are the research questions graded on the same scale as some of the other sims that have 20 or 30 working parts to it?

    I read somewhere…I've read so much I'm not sure where…that the research is a right or wrong. But it counts at one answer through all of the sims. So if your other sims were a lot of blanks to fill (I had one that literally had 25 boxes to fill in) then that sim would count for 25 answers and the research sim would count as one. So the research would be 1/26 of the total sim grade.

    A 88, B 76, F 84, R 76 Passed 2014

    AUD seems to be doing 2 research sims for everyone that has posted here since January. Don't sweat that part.

    A friend of mine took hers a few weeks ago and had 2 research sims. I took it last week and only had one.

    AUD - 5/29/14 - 90
    FAR - 7/1/14 - 90
    BEC - 7/18/14 - 88
    REG - 8/18/14
