Anyone studying for a section while still in school?

In my state we are allowed to sit for the exam 120 days prior to graduation, and I am trying to get FAR done this semester. I saved up some money and I am currently not working but it’s still tough trying to manage my senior semester full time schedule and be able to RETAIN all of the Becker material.

I know a lot of people have it worse time wise, but I can only fit so much into my head at one time. Anyone else doing it like this?

In the Power Weekend thread ( https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/power-weekend-revival/page/10 ) I saw a couple comments of people who were trying to juggle things now that the semester was in full-swing again…so there's at least some people on here who are in school and taking the exams at the same time. 🙂

I am. I'm in 14 hours to finish up my MAcc. I'm studying for FAR now too, so I understand the information overload! I just keep reminding myself how nice it will be to be done studying all together!

    AUD: 71, 87
    BEC: 85
    FAR: 80
    REG: 12/6/13

Took grad classes for my MTax over the summer and took and passed FAR and AUD at the same time. Was not fun. Doing it again this semester with 2 more classes and REG and BEC.. should be even more fun!

I took FAR and AUD and passed both while in my final semester receiving my MS in Accounting. If you have the time and you really put in the dedication and concentration then I wouldn't be worried. You just have to know it's going to take a lot of effort and you can't push studying to the back burner. Good luck!

I'm currently studying for my first section (FAR), while doing 6 credits of grad classes and working full time. To be honest, it's turning out to be really tough. I'm considering taking time off from work (I'm a temp right now and it isn't looking like it's going perm), to take ~12 grad credits and study for the exams.

I was taking one class and working full time plus had a weekend job at Kohls. (and 2 kids).

Its HARD, and takes an insane amount of focus……..but its not forever (even though it feels that way) and is entirely achievable.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I did AUD & FAR over the summer while taking 1 class and working PT. Taking BEC & REG while taking 2 classes and working PT.

It's not too bad, but the weekly 5 page papers are annoying for my classes.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

I'm in the same boat, Beach! Right now I'm taking 2 MS in Accounting classes while also studying for AUD and BEC. Also training for an obstacle course race called Savage Race and will start back to work @ a CPA firm next month.

All this juggling makes me feel like a clown, but you're not alone! If you envision that it will all pay off, it will. It will be tough but for most, senior year in undergrad is more of a “down year” than the rest so try to take advantage while you can!

    DELAWARE

AUD: 74 (7/2014) 76 (11/2014) PASSED! USED YAEGER AND NINJA
BEC: 73 (9/2014) 76 (2/2014) SO FAR SO GOOD! USED NINJA AND WILEY
FAR: Will take after tax season (can't wait)
REG: Cue overly dramatic impending-doom music (will take in 2014)
