Anyone else having issues getting their fingerprint to capture at Prometric?

I’ve had this issues since the first time I took my very first exam, but have held back on bringing this up until now….

Every time I go to Prometric to take the test, their electronic reader has a hard time reading my fingerprint. Sometimes, the person there will keep playing around with it and trying move my finger and eventually it will capture. Sometimes, the person there just doesn’t have the patience and will just take my thumb print manually with ink.

Anyone else here have this issue where they can’t get their fingerprint to capture on Prometric’s fingerprint reader?

It happened to me every time I took the exam. Sometimes it took so long and the clock was still clicking. That worries me a lot.

That's why I have very little to drink in the morning before my exam!

I'm glad to see it's not just me. Those people at Prometric look at me like it's first time they've encountered that problem.

I had this same problem on Saturday, the lady acted like it was pretty common. They could get my first print, but couldn't get any after that. She just said she had to make some notes and then they did take my thumb print manually.

No problems here. It has a lot to do with how pronounced your fingerprints are. Some people's fingers just will NOT show up on the basic technology you would expect Prometric to have.

It was funny, the fingerprint machine was down at my site. We had to press our index fingers in that ink thing and imprint on the sign in sheet. I thought I was in another one of my line up sessions. I left with an ink stain on my shirt, thanks prometric. I know the girl there so well, she said “pick your station”, but this time leave the tic tacs in the locker. Last time I contemplated smuggling them in my xxx. She was on to me this time and we had a laugh. I told her thanks for sending me in to the torture chamber, she said it's worse out here…

If I fail I may get a job at prometric and just have fun instead of this crap.

I thought they stopped finger printing. They didn't take mine last week. While I was waiting to get checked in the manager came out to approve someone to wear some type of bracelet (he told them that if they could take it off that he would) . The manager said they change the rules all the time and said he could wear it. So I didn't think much about not getting finger printed. I hope that doesn't cause an issue with releasing my score.

One day is today! I'm DOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

The people working at the prometric center take my finger print, take my picture, then make me empty my pockets. There are a lot of cameras. The center is just short of bars to complete the experience.

Mine never ever works. The lady at the prometric center said that it never takes hers either and she has to print her own every 15 minutes.

At my center the same guy has been there since I've been CPA testing. How much do you think they make? $10/hr? There is some level of security and responsibility that warrants a decent pay. Just curious.

I don't know how much they make, but they don't seem happy at my center.

Yes every time! Last time after fifteen failed attempts and me just wanting to get out of the testing center an approx. 50 year old Asian woman appeared on the screen. Needless to say being a 28 year old Caucasian the lady started asking me if I was who I said I was. It was quite the experience especially seeing this lady has checked me in/out more times than I care to share!
