I stopped working full time so that I can seriously focus on passing my exams. As someone 10 years out of college I needed more time actually learning the material and the one review course I took wasn’t in depth enough. So its pretty much been me, the Wiley Books and my local library one section at a time for a little over a year. While I think the worst is over (please no more 74s!), BEC just seems daunting at this point.
I finally passed REG mid Feb and thought I might be able to squeeze in BEC in 2 weeks if I just parked myself at the library 8 hours a day for 2 weeks reading the Wiley book and doing all the problems. Its harder than I thought and just not sinking in (and I majored in Managerial accounting with emphasis in accounting software!). I’ve gotten through 90% of the book and finally decided – why torture myself? I’m just going to have to tackle this monster in April.
I tip my hat to all you soldiers out there working full time, through busy seasons, neglecting families, friends and spouses. Anyone else out there working on exams nearly full time?
