So I got married in the beginning of June and love my wife very much but I believe this test has taken a toll on our relationship and Ive only been studying a month. It feels like I need to fight my wife to get the time to study. She interrupts me when I’m in my room alone study by starting to talk, and when I tell her I need to study I feel like I’m being a jerk. I do work 40+ hours a week so when I get home I start studying right away but she just wants to do other things with me. When I get a weekend off I want to spend it studying 8 hours a day but when I tell her I’m going to study she seems to not like it. I try to tell her how hard this test is and if I don’t study then I will fail and she says she understands but I feel this test is having a strain on our relationship. Anybody else have this problem?

I agree with what others have said. But I wanted to also tell you I have been there. I actually bought my study materials on our honeymoon, with wedding money. My husband said you need to pass buy the stuff and start when we get back. However, I don't think he realized what it was going to take to pass. One of my first posts here was about a huge fight we had about going to a birthday party. We had to work out a compromise,

I found what works for us, is on Sunday we go over my weekly schedule, example this week, Monday, Wed, Fri are full study nights that means 3-4 hours for me. Tuesday and Thursday are part study nights, 1-2 hours, read notes, review topics read ninja, whatever. Saturday is a full study/work day 5-6 hours (I may need to work this weekend so either way its a busy day) Saturday night is an off night, Sunday will be a late start day, we will get brunch go for a walk ect, then 3-5 hours Sunday and Sunday night is off. Then Sunday night we will go over this weeks plan. On full study nights my husband either goes out with friends (some other activity) or we have dinner together, meaning he cooks, or we order in, we talk while we eat then he cleans up and I go right to studying. On half nights I try to cook, or go out for dinner. Does the weekly plan always go right no, but it plans out our week, and sets an expectation, if we have an obligation it is discussed in the weekly plan, no surprises like we have to go see my 3rd cousin on Sunday for her birthday.

You need to find what works for you as a couple, and for your studying. Good luck, also talk to her, try to explain the hours it really takes!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!
