I have been lurking on this site for quite some time now but I finally made an account to try and get some motivation to get this beast complete. I can’t imagine this being a bigger pain that it has already been, however, I was wondering if any other NINJAs out there could offer some advice. I have BEC and AUD currently passed right now with AUD expiring 6/30, so basically AUD is as good as nothing at this point. During Q1 I had taken FAR during busy season just barely missing a passing score. Then in Q2 I had taken REG and FAR just missing 75 on both of them.

So now I have just BEC passed with AUD expiring before having the opportunity to sit for FAR or REG again. I would love to try and knock them out all in Q3, I just cant figure out a good strategy or plan of attack. It is extremely difficult to dust yourself off after being so close, almost DONE with scores like those. No clue what to do.. a part of me wants to just throw in the towel since I actually only have one complete! I do not want this thing following me in to 2015… any advice????

CONGRATS to all that passed today BTW!!!!

Even though you are scoring in the 70s, you need to study everything again like you are starting over. I really believe its the only way to pass a retake. Rushing through it all will probably result in low 70s again.

    BEC - 84 (4/13/2013)
    REG - 82 (10/17/2013)
    AUD - 85 (12/5/2013)
    FAR - 75 (10/11/2014)

I think I may just go back to AUD even though it is probably the one I will have the least trouble I feel like I have the test banks memorized for REG and FAR. I can't seem to get much out of watching lectures so I just pound away at MCQ's, not sure how else to switch it up.

Let me preface by saying I generally agree with the strategy that you should start over from scratch. With thag, you aren't exactly starting over from scratch. You know your cracks in the bridge…and they are hard to fill in or you would have already done so. Focus on your cracks. Can't stress this enough…bring your weaknesses up at all costs…that's the quickest way to improve…

Cautionary note: by weaknesses I don't mean the questions you got wrong. That is the temptation, but rather the topics that you have trouble with, regardless of the mix of topics you got last exam. Nobody really knows what's going to be on the exam the next time you take it but what we do know is that it will be different. So forget about what caused you to fail this time, look at what your weaknesses are ranked by % weighting per AICPA outline and knock them out one by one….
