I just received my REG score and thankfully, I’m off to the next section!! Any suggestions/advice as to what to take next…I have heard that BEC and REG should be taken close together so leaning towards BEC. Are they similar? I’m doing Becker online and the course for BEC is only two weeks so I would love to be able to sit the end of January but not sure how much study time is neccessary. I spent 6 weeks on REG and honestly felt like it was too long so hoping a month will be sufficient for BEC. Or should I get FAR or AUD out of the way?

Hm well I would say to take BEC if you are confident that there will be no hickups with AUD and FAR. If you are a good studyier a month is more that enough time to pass BEC. My friend actually did REG at the beg of the testing period and right after studied for BEC in a month. He passed both. But ultimately it seems you are smart since you passed REG so its all up to you

    AUD -88 (12/07/2013)
    FAR -83 (05/03/2014)
    REG -80 (09/09/2014)
    BEC -71,74,77(05/28/2015)

I wouldn't say REG and BEC are similar…it all depends on your schedule….about 80 hrs for BEC is more than enough.

So, looking at the calendar, you could take:

    BEC – end of January

    FAR – end of May

    AUD – July/August

Whatever you decide, take FAR before AUD. You need to know GAAP for the AUD section.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

    …or you could take:

    FAR – beginning of April

    AUD – end of May

    BEC – July

You'll feel pretty burnt out toward the end, so I'd suggest leaving BEC for the end – that way you will be excited to know you only have about 80 hrs more to study in order to be done.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
