I took the BEC back in August and failed with a 62. The only part I scored comparable on was IT and the written. I let myself mope around and started a new job and then picked myself up and rescheduled BEC for December 5. Well, I forgot about my prior (before I decided to take exam) commitments. I have watched all of my CRAM videos and done some mcq but not enough. I don’t feel confident that I would pass.
So my NTS isn’t up until 4/1/2014. So should I reschedule for early in January or the other option I have thought of is to put BEC aside and study for FAR and take FAR in late January and then study for BEC and take late Feb. The reason I have thought of this is that I wonder if having more FAR knowledge would help me with BEC.
The study plan that I am considering for BEC is to make a list of formulas and rewrite the list at least every other day and make flashcards out of all the glossary terms from Wiley, take more notes and then start doing the MCQ’s.
Any thoughts or advice…I have been studying for BEC since July and I am feeling very discouraged with it at the moment. I have considering going ahead and taking it Dec 5th, and then when I fail it again then just wait and leave it for last. I see why so many people stop this process but I am determined to get that CPA and open up opportunities for myself! (Side note, I plan to get my CMA as well as I like private accounting as well).
Thanks everyone!
