    Hi,

I have searched everywhere on the internet for some sort of review on these seminars and cannot find anything! I am just wondering if ANYONE out there has taken one of these seminars and found them helpful. I would have to drive 4 hours for a one day seminar and don’t want to waste time driving (vs. studying) if it was not at all helpful.

I have studied with CPAExcel, Lambers, and now finally Becker and up until Becker, have been frustrated with my study materials not covering the information I needed to pass the exams. I’ve taken AUD after I studied Becker but failed with a 65. I’m taking it again at the end of this month, so I think it is understandable that I don’t want to spend 8 hours driving back and forth and another 8 hours at the seminar if it is not worth it.

    PLEASE HELP!

    BEC - 65 (4/10), 83 (8/10)
    AUD - 64 (10/10), 73 (2/11), 93 (8/11)
    REG - 47 (7/09), 80 (10/11)
    FAR - 84 (11/11) Texas. I'm done!!!

Last Oct I flew to Houston for the FAR two day sseminar. Unfortunately I was suffering from daily migranes and only got a 70 on the test. AIS focuses only on what you need to pass the test. They ship you a binder of material, go over MCQs BUT they do tell you up front it is intended as a final review, you should already be familiar with the basics of what is tested and have completed a review course such as Becker, Lambers, Yaeger, etc. They also suggest you take the seminar as close to the test (within one to two weeks) as possible so it's fresh. I think I would have passed if I had not had the mental/physical issues I was dealing with.

Thanks for your response. I've completed the Becker review for AUD in October, but am retaking the test this month. I would be taking this seminar 2 weeks before the test, which is also in the middle of my re-reviewing Becker. But, since it's the only time they are offering it, I would have to take it. I think a review is what I need since I am familiar with the material (just not enough to pass the test!)

    Thanks!

    BEC - 65 (4/10), 83 (8/10)
    AUD - 64 (10/10), 73 (2/11), 93 (8/11)
    REG - 47 (7/09), 80 (10/11)
    FAR - 84 (11/11) Texas. I'm done!!!

First, turn the caps off. The 18th month window doesn't start until you pass a section. For example I passed AUD on 11/14/09 and that credit expires on 5/31/11. I'v passed REG also now so I have to pass both FAR and BEC before 5/31/11 or I lose my AUD credit and have to take it again.
