Hi Megasaurus!
I'm not sure if you still remember me. We were in the same forum (I need to murder REG) 3 months ago with QuesoDip. I can feel your pain. I felt soooo lost when i failed REG the second time and my score was worse than the first. For about two weeks I didn't know what to do and I didn't know how to pull myself together. Good thing I came across the forum which you started. In a way it helped me feel a little better knowing that there are many aspiring CPAs who are experiencing the same thing but they remain fighting. I suggest that you read Jeff's personal experience too. His journey to becoming a CPA is inspiring. With God's blessing, I successfully passed REG. I'm finally done with all four.
> Just remember why you decided to take the exam in the first place. Refocus on that goal again.
> Believe that you are meant to become a cpa, otherwise, you wouldn't have passed the first 3 subjects you took.
> With regard to reviewing, do what works best for you. I tried to follow Jeff's suggestion on how to review but I didn't have the time to do everything especially the rewriting part. Instead I just did what works best for me and followed some of the tips I got from the forums. I followed QuesoDip's suggestion on focusing on the topics I am weak at and reviewed the 1040 project that he shared to me. I also followed Jeff's suggestion on how to pass the CPA in 20 days. I spent less time this time reading the theories since I still remember most of them from past reviews and spent a lot of time on MCQs, as in tons of time. I specially did a lot of MCQs on topics I'm weak at. And if the review materials are not enough, I search the internet to get a better understanding of the topic.
> On family time, see if your husband or even your children can be your review partner(s). They can take your notes and quiz you on your notes or they can read to you the MCQs and you answer orally or in writing. It will be hitting 2 birds with one stone – you can get to review while spending time with them.
> Don't give up. What is another half year compared to a lifetime of regret for giving up?
> Lastly, give your best and pray. I leave you with this verse from Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I wish you all the best. Let us know of the result.
