It’s hard, it really is. I think we all know it is. Somewhere along the way, I think all candidates at some point have felt the struggle that is the CPA exam, even those who have passed on their first attempts. Somehow, someway, I can’t stop trying.
So today, is 2/23, and I just received a 71 on BEC. It sucks. My last scores on BEC have been 70, 69 and 71. Absolutely crushing. I thought this time was different. So now what?
Well, my normal course would be to give up and take a break for months, but this time, I need to hop back on the train. Somehow. I had started Audit the last two weeks, thinking BEC was finally behind me. Evidently, not. So this morning, I fired up the BEC materials, and began again, aiming for a 4/8 exam. The new exam adds a wrinkle, and makes me nervous in and of itself, but I don’t have a choice. The disappointment, and embarrassment creeps in, especially letting my family down, with all the time sacrificed. So now what? There’s nothing left to do but go back to the basics, and study.
It’s so disappointing, it really is, but I need to stay positive and keep moving forward until I pass these exams. And I will.
BEC- 67, 69
