Hi guys, so I am retaking FAR on July 9 and am hopeful I will pass this time. Then, I have 7 weeks to study for REG, my last section. If I don’t pass both sections by August 31, I lose my AUD credit. So, is 7 weeks enough time to study? I won’t be working full time, probably just part time. Or should I just wait on my FAR score and decide what to do next and lose my AUD credit?

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 88!!! DONE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 76
    REG - 77

I think 7 weeks is enough time. For me I had to delay taking REG until after tax season and only had 3 weeks left in my window. My job helped me with about 20% of the material and the rest was a bit daunting. What I did on a limited time frame was breeze through the material one time rather quickly. I then leaned more heavily towards the multiple choice and simulations towards the end. If you find yourself pressed for time, definitely jump into the multiple choice. It can be uncomfortable doing so as my gleim % barely reached above 70% right before the test but in the end it paid off.

    Best of luck!

I also plan to sit for REG during the last week of August. I just started skimming through the lectures and hope 7 weeks is enough.

7 weeks with part time work should be plenty of time…assuming you put the addition “part” you aren't working back into studying 😉

It depends on if you can study for 5-6 hrs a day without any issues. I had to move my reg exam two times because it is alot of material and i had to work full time so i couldnt really study more then 2-3 hrs a day after work. Also when weekend came i was so exhusted from working and studying 5 days straight i didnt feel like studying.

If you are just going to be studying and working part time i think you can do it.

    REG-77
BEC -Waiting on score May 5th
    AUD - May 30
FAR - Q3 depending on if i pass above two in Q2

We should have some sort of party on this boat. After my 7/12 FAR retake I'll have 7 weeks for REG. I assumed that was the average study period for this section. Work full-time, 15-20 hrs /wk that'll give me 105-140 total hours for this guy. We should be good.

    AUD - 75 ☺
    FAR - 65, 71, 70, 77 ☺
    BEC - 80 ☺
    REG - 73, 66, 79 ☺ 2/28/15

@Dan T, I am hoping we are done with the exam in late August! Wouldn't it be nice?! I have been studying nonstop for FAR and am ready to slay the beast this Wednesday. Which review course are you using? I have been using Becker and will use it for REG.

I'm really hoping to not drag this into the fall by passing these two this summer. I used Becker my first go around for FAR, a combo of becker/Ninja MC the second attempt, and now it's solely Ninja MC. I feel I learn way more by ignoring lectures, videos, books, and doing nothing but MC. I'll do the same for Reg.

Good luck tootsie I'll be looking out for your result come Aug. 1

Starting Reg today. Test time is 8/14. Finishing up Far (7/29)……time is out so I am doing what so many are doing, mcq drills using the book for reference, but going complete ninja (notes and audio, mcq's) skipping the lectures and videos. It helps ME, not trying to start a war about study preferences.

I'll be looking to the reg group for lots of help……..

    It begins with a 75
