Today, I woke up at 3am, got coffee, and am now studying….I read about people getting up really early…I had to try something because after a whole day at the bank and then doing the family thing at night…once the kidlet is asleep, the last thing my brain wants to do is study FAR at 8pm…..so we’ll see how this goes….I’ll study till 6:30…this should get 15 more hours a great study time…has anyone else done this?

Study whenever you want. Honestly, the time doesn't matter long as you won't be interrupted/have commitments/be too tired or distracted, and you get enough sleep (I went to bed at 8 last night and woke 3:30). Do whatever it takes.

I'm finding that you have to do what you have to do to pass. Sometimes I can't sleep, I might try this over the weekend Since I want to put in all dayers any way. why not, we can sleep when we pass. I'll let you guys know the results.

I would often study before work. 3am seems a bit excessive.
I'd get up around 5-6 and hit the books.
Pretty much whenever I woke up I knew I would not be able to go back to sleep because I would just be thinking about the books anyway.

For FAR and AUD I woke up at 4:30 – 5 am every morning then sprinkled more study after work. Work hours are 8-5. I firmly believe that getting at least 1.5 hours of good study in before work is crucial to success with the CPA….unless you work a weak non-demanding job or are part-time. Exercise also does wonders for learning. It's all about managing stress and little to no exercise coupled with trying to learn after work will only raise stress. Put yourself first, your employer second! 🙂

    Using Becker self-study
    FAR: (82) 175 hours - 1st attempt
    BEC: (XX)
    AUD: (69) 45hrs of study - 1st attempt
    REG: (XX)
