Thought I would have had a lot of free time to study but things came up and I have only made it through the first 3 chapter of FAR. I’m taking the exam in 10 days. I know I won’t pass but I just want to get a feel for the exam. I see a lot of people here recommending to reschedule but I’m not exactly sure why. Besides the fact that it costs less to reschedule last minute than to pay to sit for a new exam, is there any real reason? Will your firm be able to see your scores or something? Or is there some repercussion I am unaware of?

How were you in Undergrad Accounting? If you can go balls to the wall you can pass. It depends on your comfort level. The material you know, practice a few questions and hit the more difficult stuff. Anything is possible. I say go for it.

Your firm will not be able to see how many times you took the exam and did not pass. They will not be able to see your passing scores either. What study material are you using? If you are through Becker Ch.3 you didn't even touch the tip of the iceberg. 🙂

If you already took BEC, REG and AUD a lot of material overlaps, if you are recently out of school you might still remember what you studied in school. Everyone takes failure differently, if you don't think you will pass and that will demotivate you then you should reschedule. If you want to go in and see what the exam is about then go. Who knows? Maybe all of your MCQs and SIMs will be on the material you studied. You never know so I would say go for it!

I am not fully ready and I don't want to reschedule either so practice exam it is. 🙂
