    Hey guys,

I know y’all are probably tired of me by now but just wanting input. I’m scheduled to take AUD 1/14 but I don’t know how to schedule my tests after that. I work in tax so busy season is about to begin. So I’m thinking REG and then BEC but I would like to try to get both in before the changes on April 1. Any advice on how I should schedule?

    Thanks

I would say for sure take BEC before it changes.. It is a tough test and they are only making it harder it seems.

REG is no pushover for sure, but it's changes are not as dramatic as BEC so get BEC done first.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80
    Aud / Aug 2016

Definitely BEC while its in its simplest form. Make sure you give yourself time in between to study for each test.

    It begins with a 75

Just out of curiosity, how long do you think would be adequate time to study for BEC?

Do you guys think that I would be able to fit both REG and BEC in before March 10th?

Hmm… When do you plan to study for both of them and how do you plan to study? Since it's so close, I would try to KNOCK out one for sure and that's BEC. You don't need to take the harder version for no reason.

    @trele6,

Did you use the text or online version for the AICPA ethics exam? I'm just curious. I usually prefer an actual book, but am thinking I could just do the exam online tomorrow….

I would agree with everyone else. I would definitely take BEC before the change since it looks like it will be affected the most.

In regards to taking both, BEC and REG during Q1 – you will have 10 weeks to study for both, so depending on your time commitment and your ability to absorb the material 5 weeks for each could be enough. How long have you been studying for AUD so far?

    AUD 7/6/16 Passed
    BEC 9/3/16
    FAR TBD
    REG TBD

I have studied so far for AUD about 4 weeks. I think it's doable but my life is just going to suck because I work in tax so busy season is upon me.

@musicflowershop, I did the text. I found it quite easy, the test is in the back of the book so I just pulled it out and started skimming for the answers. The questions are in the same order as the chapters. There were a few I needed read pretty thoroughly to find, but most were easily found in the index so I just jumped to the page and found the answer word for word sometimes.

Some of the questions are a refresh from studying the ethics portion of the CPA exam also, so easily remembered the answers.

All told I probably only spent 2 hours on it.
