Just looked at the changes for FAR in 2017, the topic “Not-for-Profit” seems to have fallen off the list of topics for testing (while government remains). Does that mean we no longer need to study for the not-for-profit (non-government) section anymore?

The link you provided does not list NFP as a section of FAR. Though I would assume that it is part of the Governmental Accounting section, as they share a number of concepts and are almost always presented together in study material.

    It's lumped WITHIN Conceptual Framework.

It just doesn't have its own separate section in the CSO anymore but its embedded into 3 of the 4 sections: Conceptual framework, Financial statement accounts and transactions
