Retake Exam in Same Testing Period in 2017?

The AICPA hinted as potentially letting us take the same exam multiple times in the same testing period during 2017, but i can’t find a follow up. I know the exam is right around the corner so i assume this this isn’t going to happen. In case i missed it, has anyone else heard anything more about this? I

I hope we can take it multiple times seeing that they are making us wait FIVE MONTHS to get our scores back in 2017 quarter 2. I also loved their little, “we need the extra time to analyze the data” AKA curve the scores to keep the passing rate the same/lower. 🙁

If i take it in April, doesn't it mean i wont get it until August 16? I rounded up 4.5 to 5 if thats what you mean.

The AICPA stated that the scores released for Q2 – Q4 will come after the window closes. I don't see how you can, or would want to take the same exam twice in a window, without knowing the score of the first attempt.

    https://www.aicpa.org/BecomeACPA/CPAExam/PsychometricsandScoring/ScoringInformation/Pages/FAQ2011ScoreRelease.aspx

<quote>Q: What is the testing window?
    A. Candidates may sit for the Exam during each quarter, or testing window. They are: January 1 – March 10 (Q1), April 1 – May 31 (Q2), July 1 – September 10 (Q3), and October 1 – December 10 (Q4). Scores are released four times for the first testing window while scores will be released once after the close of the Q2, Q3 and Q4 testing windows to allow for standard setting to be conducted.</quote>

Its hard to plan for the next exam if you don't know your score for so long. I would rather not come back to an exam after i have been studying for another exam for a couple of months.

I fully agree with you. I was actually stressed about this and glad that I was able to finish the exam before these changes. Do you have anything scheduled for this test window now?

Ya AUD for March 6th. With busy season starting in a couple of weeks i don't have to time to cram two in before the changes.

Hopefully you can get that out of the way and then maybe take REG at the end of the 2nd window, so less time waiting!
