Does anyone know anything about the changes coming to FAR in 2020? Roger has been posting and emailing about “pervasive” changes (https://www.rogercpareview.com/cpa-exam/about/changes), but I can’t seem to find anything about this on the AICPA or other websites. Is this just a sales tactic to try to get people to buy Roger before year end? I want to know if I will be able to use my current materials to study with to take FAR in very early January 2020.

I'm not sure abou the change, but if you don't already have Roger I'd recommend going with litterally any other review programs. I have Roger and like it fine and think it's more than sufficent to pass, but Roger has a very strict 18-month access limit, whereas surgent, becker, wiley, etc. All give you access until you've passed.

I think there's an option to extend for free before your expiration the sections you still need to pass. Just need to email them.
