I was hoping to get BEC taken care of before the testing window closed, but did not pass (68). I am planning on taking it again when the testing window opens in April. Are there any tips on how to go about studying for a retake, plus studying for the new section. I am using Becker and will be ordering the new book soon.

Out of curiosity, how did you think you did on your fail? Did you think you had passed or knew that you failed? I just took BEC and felt OK about it. Definitely missed some mcqs but felt like I answered the majority of them correctly, left plenty of time for the written communication which was nice. I think the testlets got harder too which I know is a good sign, flagged a lot more questions in the 2nd and 3rd testlets. I tell myself not to obsess over my score cause there's nothing I can do but it's just so difficult not to wonder.

I felt as if the testlets got more difficult as I went, I did flag more questions in the 2nd and 3rd ones. I felt like I did ok when I walked out, knowing that I would be close to the line. I feel like a lot of the material will be fresh on mind, so I am going to be taking a different approach on this retake.

I felt the part I struggled with most was variance analysis and some IT stuff that I felt really good reviewing. I am going to purchase the CPA Ninja MCQ.

One thing I will do with my retake is do more questions after each chapter before I move on. This is the main thing I disagree with Jeff on. I think is important to have a good chunk of the material that your comfy with before moving on to a next chapter. I believe Jeff says a waste of time to do Becker/Roger MCQ after each Ch but that was why I think I did not pass last time as MCQ really tests what you know/don't know before moving on. Just my .02

I took it on February 17th and I'm over 50% sure I passed- hope I'm not disappointed.

If I did not pass, it was because I didn't nail Financial Management, Strategic Planning, or Operations Management. I think you need to figure out why you think you might have failed before approaching re-taking it.

Now that there will be sims, it's more important to learn all the steps involved and actually understand each concept.

If I have to take it again, I am skipping IT, Corporate Governance, and Economics until possibly the last week. And even then only go over them once. The bulk of the time will be spent on the the hard topics.
